When Weinberg Capital Partners entrusted us with the upper floors of the Grande Arche, it wasn’t simply a matter of renovating office spaces. The challenge lay elsewhere: breathing new life into empty, time-worn spaces while respecting the architectural integrity of the site.

A demanding project, in a setting that leaves no room for compromise.

Take a behind-the-scenes look at an extraordinary construction project, at the heart of one of La Défense’s most iconic landmarks.

Design your office

Working within a historic landmark without compromising its character

How can we renovate an iconic building designed by Otto von Spreckelsen without altering its essence? Our answer: build on what already exists, extend the architectural vision, and create a dialogue between past and present.

Building on the work carried out by Franklin Azzi on the lower levels, we designed a 1,300-square-meter workspace and event venue that respects the building’s integrity while infusing it with new energy. A subtle, almost surgical approach, where every line, every volume, and every material finds its place within the overall composition.

A technical challenge worthy of the venue

Working in a high-rise building leaves no room for improvisation. Stricter safety requirements, complex logistics, protected interior facades… every step demands precision and coordination.

For 18 months, our Design & Build teams orchestrated this demanding project in close collaboration with all stakeholders. The goal: to transform without ever altering the essence of the space. To modernize without erasing its history.

Architecture that shapes everything

Here, nothing is left to chance. Designed as a natural extension of the perfect 110 × 110 × 110-meter cube, this project engages directly with the Danish architect’s rigorous geometry: the original structural grid becomes the organizing principle for all the design elements.

The result: a fluid, clear, almost instinctive space.

A bright space, striking a balance between grandeur and intimacy

From the moment you enter, the light makes a striking impression. The panoramic views of Paris become an integral part of the design. They define the spaces, complement their functions, and bring depth to each workstation.

Inside, the design philosophy is clear:

  • understated, high-quality materials,
  • soft hues (earthy tones, beiges, muted blues),
  • textures that interact with the raw concrete.

The acoustic carpet absorbs sound, the wood warms the space, and mineral accents add depth. Together, they create an atmosphere that is both serene and stately.

Spaces designed for today’s needs

Private offices, light-filled open spaces, glass-walled meeting rooms, more private alcoves, lounges, kitchenettes…

Each area serves a specific purpose while remaining flexible. The layout is designed to facilitate movement and encourage informal interaction. A balance between performance and comfort.

Materials that enhance the space

The choice of materials was guided by a simple idea: to complement the architecture without overwhelming it.

Acoustic carpeting, PVC with an insulating backing, warm wood (Warmia walnut), textured stainless steel, matte ceramic tiles, mineral-based finishes… each material was selected for its ability to blend naturally into the existing environment.

A Signature project

With La Grande Arche, Deskeo has created much more than just an interior design project.

A true architectural statement, this project demonstrates how an iconic landmark can be elegantly reinvented to meet today’s needs. It is a rare place where one literally works amidst history while enjoying cutting-edge comfort and aesthetics.

Thank you to the WCP teams for their trust in this major project. Interested in transforming an existing space into a workspace with a strong identity? Let’s talk.
