Why design and build offices in the Paris region?
The professional design of your offices is a major issue in your corporate strategy. Your offices embody your culture, attracting talent that shares your values and retaining employees who develop a strong sense of belonging. Your office is a place to live that is beautiful, comfortable, and unique, providing a sense of pride and well-being that is essential to productivity and motivation.
Your offices radiate your brand image to your clients and partners, giving you more credibility and trust with them.
The importance of well-designed workspaces
There's more to a well-designed workspace than meets the eye. Beyond aesthetics, office design plays a much more important role than you might think.
In fact, a well-designed office allows you to :
Make a good impression on customers and visitors: Well-designed premises convey a positive image, which is essential for business relations. Customers are more likely to trust a company with attractive premises than one whose offices don't reflect a good image.
Improve your employees' productivity and creativity: A warm, welcoming environment encourages concentration, boosts motivation and reduces stress. A plus for your employees' creative brains!
Strengthen your employer brand: Well-kept premises reflect your values and attract talent. Yes, employees will enjoy coming to work much more if they know they'll be in good conditions.
It is therefore important to offer attractive premises to your employees to motivate them and make them want to join your project in the long term.
Improving the Quality of Working Life (QWL): A comfortable environment boosts physical and mental well-being, with spaces adapted to each type of work. And an employee who feels good is an efficient employee.
However, as you can imagine, to benefit from these aspects, it's important to choose the right professional furniture. Let's find out how.
The key stages of your Design & Build project
Step 1: Consultancy
We start by rethinking the surface area to be fitted out and defining the framework of the project together: what are the needs and constraints of your employees? How do your teams and departments interact? What impetus do you want to give your company? What degree of mobility do employees have within the teams? The answers to these questions allow us to define the types of workspaces you need.
Step 2: Design
The objective of the design phase is to design workspaces that reflect your brand image and values. What are your values? Your DNA? Your walls must tell your story, embody your corporate culture. They must also reflect the new modes and uses of the working world: flex-office, teleworking, user-friendly spaces, hybrid spaces, project rooms, etc. We ensure that your identity and professional needs are respected.
Step 3: Work
Restructuring, refurbishment, refurbishment of your existing offices, we accompany you on all your renovation projects. We are your sole contact to carry out your renovation project and deliver a quality work site, respecting a schedule and a budget previously validated with you.
Step 4: Furniture
The choice of furniture plays a crucial role in making daily life at work more comfortable and practical, but also in promoting your brand image, creating a strong identity and corresponding to your values. The furniture is always designed and functional, with particular attention paid to the choice of chairs. Ergonomics, adaptability and durability are our watchwords, and always with style!
Choosing the right furniture
When it comes to furnishing your office, you need to choose the right furniture. Yes, but how? As you'll see, there's nothing complicated about it. Just keep a few details in mind.
5 criteria for choosing the right office furniture
To choose the right furniture for your business, you need to pay particular attention to the following criteria:
- Your employees' needs: The first thing to do before embarking on a major furnishing operation is to take stock of your employees' needs.
After all, they're the ones who will be using the furniture, so it's essential that it meets their objectives and work habits.
- Functionality and storage: A messy office is far from ideal for concentration and organization. That's why you need to favor furniture with integrated storage solutions to enable your employees to work in an organized setting. It's a real plus for their efficiency!
- Aesthetics and personalization: Furniture should reflect your company's style and culture. So don't hesitate to choose furniture that resembles you, and that is not only functional but also pleasing to the eye.
- Quality and durability: Choose suppliers renowned for the reliability of their products and solid materials that can withstand the hazards of everyday office life (spilt coffee, knocks, pencil strokes...).
- Ergonomics and comfort: Choose ergonomic chairs and desks for health and comfort.
And there's more to this than meets the eye...

The importance of ergonomics
Don't underestimate the impact of ergonomics! Poor posture at work is a major source of discomfort, and can lead to employee discomfort or, worse still, occupational illness.
That's why it's crucial to provide your employees with suitable, adaptable furniture that enables them to adopt correct posture.
After all, a comfortable employee is much more productive, isn't he?

Adapting to new ways of working
Deskeo has adapted its product to match the new uses of its tenants with the marketing of more flexible rental space and a range of services. It is important that your offices allow for these new uses so that your employees can combine productivity, meaning and performance. Businesses may find that coworking spaces, serviced private offices and executive suites are ideal for their needs, as these options offer everything from fully equipped private offices, meeting or event rooms and shared spaces to valuable business services such as mail handling, administrative support, receptionists and more.
Here are three types of spaces to consider when planning your fit-out.
- Private spaces for isolation: Equip your premises with Phonebooth. An individual soundproof space for making phone calls. Easily adjustable, it takes up little space in your office and ensures maximum concentration!
- Collaborative spaces to exchange: Equip your private office spaces with meeting rooms. These sharing spaces give rise to all kinds of ideas and projects. Think of equipping them with video-conferencing systems to allow remote people to participate.
- Shared spaces for entertainment: These spaces, such as the cafeteria, break room or small lounge, contribute to the social life of the company. They must be welcoming and comfortable so that your teams feel good and enjoy meeting there! In this way, you can ensure that your employees have an increasingly strong sense of belonging.
What is the ideal area for your offices?
Paris is a dynamic city that offers an ideal setting for the development of your business thanks to its large property stock and dense public transport network (5 RER lines, 14 metro lines serving 303 stations).
The first thing to think about is the area in which you want to settle. Does it meet your needs? Is it sufficiently accessible for your clients and employees? What shops are nearby?
The Saint Lazare district is active and strategic, with over 110,000 people passing through the station every day. Shops, restaurants, gyms, banks... this area is ideal for your next office rental in Paris.
And what if your next office was in an area that looked like a village? Les Batignolles, in the 17th arrondissement, attracts entrepreneurs who are looking for a friendly and dynamic atmosphere in which to set up their business.
The Opéra district, in the heart of the 9th arrondissement, is popular with Parisians and tourists for its many restaurants, cafés, tea rooms and bars. Ideal for meeting up after work!
Are you a start-up? Opt for the Sentier district in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris. Also known as the "Silicon Sentier", it's full of entrepreneurs looking to set up their offices there!

Our Top #5
How do you set up a professional office?
Designing a professional office is about more than just arranging workstations. It involves creating a space that aligns with your needs, culture, and goals. It all starts with an analysis phase: number of employees, work styles (in-person, hybrid), and needs for concentration or collaboration. From there, the layout takes shape around complementary zones: open spaces, meeting rooms, private booths, and communal areas.
Certain fundamentals then make all the difference. Natural light, for example, plays a key role in daily comfort and energy levels. The layout must remain clear and fluid to promote seamless concentration. The choice of furniture is also crucial: it must be ergonomic, durable, and designed for heavy use.
Other elements enhance the experience: incorporating plants to bring a breath of fresh air, developing branding to embody your identity, or creating genuine social spaces to foster connections.
The challenge is simple: to design an environment that functions effectively day-to-day, without ever constraining those who use it.
How can you optimize your office layout?
An effective layout is based on a balance between density, comfort, and flow, with a clear goal: to optimize space without compromising working conditions.
This involves ensuring natural movement throughout the spaces, an intelligent division of areas based on their use (individual offices, meeting rooms, collaborative workspaces), and a particular focus on acoustics, lighting, and the selection of ergonomic furniture.
Optimizing space isn’t about “fitting more in”; it’s about designing an efficient layout where every square foot serves a specific purpose and truly contributes to the comfort and performance of your teams.
How can you create a pleasant workspace?
Creating a pleasant workspace depends on very practical factors: natural light, noise levels, traffic flow, and materials. A well-designed space minimizes disturbances and avoids areas that are too crowded or poorly utilized.
It’s also important to provide different types of spaces tailored to specific needs: focusing, collaborating, meeting, or taking a break.
The details matter too: plants, colors, storage, air quality… everything that makes the space more comfortable on a daily basis.
What kind of furniture should you choose for a professional office?
Choosing furniture is about more than just furnishing a space: office furniture plays a key role in the work experience. It must be functional, durable, and comfortable. Adjustable desks, ergonomic office chairs, built-in storage solutions… each piece must serve a specific purpose and be part of an ergonomic furniture system designed for everyday use. Beyond practicality, modern design, material selection, and finishes all contribute significantly to the identity of the space.
What mistakes should you avoid when designing your space?
In professional office design projects, certain common mistakes often arise, particularly when key steps are skipped or the scope of work isn’t sufficiently defined early on. For example, replicating a standard template without considering actual usage, underestimating the importance of acoustics, neglecting informal spaces, or selecting furniture without a holistic approach. A poorly thought-out layout plan can quickly limit team efficiency. An overly rigid office quickly becomes obsolete. Another pitfall is focusing solely on floor space or the number of workstations without considering the reality of day-to-day work. Taking the time to structure your project early on allows you to avoid these pitfalls and design a space that remains relevant over time.
What are the current trends in office design?
Offices are evolving toward greater flexibility and hybrid work models. We’re seeing a rise in modular spaces, integrated living areas (kitchens, lounges, cafes), and a greater focus on well-being: natural light, sustainable materials, and acoustic comfort. The office is becoming a place of experience, halfway between hospitality and productivity, and that is precisely what we aim to create at Deskeo. Discover all the 2026 trends in our dedicated article.
How do you develop a land-use plan?
To create a layout plan, follow these simple steps:
- Define the requirements: number of people, intended uses, and site constraints.
- Create the layout plan: organize offices, meeting rooms, and circulation areas in a logical manner.
- Refine the layout plan: choose the right furniture and optimize the space to ensure good working conditions.
The goal: to create a successful layout with a clear, functional space that is well-suited for daily use.
Any design ideas?
Create a relaxation area for informal conversations, incorporate soundproof booths for privacy, set up a large communal table for group activities, or make use of a terrace or rooftop when possible. These arrangements help structure the day and offer different ways to use the same space. The idea isn’t to overdo it, but to find the right balance between work zones, moments for interaction, and spaces to unwind. The best ideas are often the simplest—provided they’re well-executed and tailored to your needs. At Deskeo, we love designing spaces that come to life: check out more office design ideas.
